I graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelor degree in social work. I studied yoga in India and Nepal for over 40 years. I have found the best teachers transfer wisdom rather than give out credentials. I have taught Hatha Yoga I and Ashtanga Yoga at the University of Oregon for almost 20 years. Instead of focusing on the external form of the posture, I have found it far more beneficial to move your attention to how the body is responding to posture. The transformational value of yoga is in its function rather than in its form. I have five sons and five grandsons.
