Lila holds a BA in dance and Latin (the language!) from Mount Holyoke College, where she also completed her public education teacher licensure for dance K-12. Lila has an MFA in dance from University of Oregon, class of 2018, where she was graduate teaching fellow in the dance department for all three years.
Lila have been teaching dance for more than a decade across the US. Her career has included many forms of artistic and social dance, but Lila’s specialty area has become partnering, and specifically country western dance styles.
As the current coordinator of social and artistic dance at Oregon State University, Lila teaches seven to eleven credits each term for a wide range of styles. Lila has joined the PE faculty at the University of Oregon to offer a line dancing course.
Lila has been dancing since she was very young, and believes that dance can improve lives, and can even save lives. She is committed to sharing the many benefits of dance with others.
In her free time Lila enjoys dancing! You can often find her dancing in the Eugene/Springfield or Corvallis areas at local events. She also loves spending time camping with her husband and dog: “We love to get away for a day or two and let our dog enjoy nature.”
