Scuba Instructor
Biography

Danica became certified as a basic open water diver in 2011, and was certified as a PADI instructor in 2017 at Cozumel Dive School in Mexico. She taught as an independent instructor in Mexico, Florida, and California until she began teaching at Eugene Skin Divers Supply and the UO in 2018. Certified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer in 2019, she became the lead instructor for the UO in 2020.

Courses: Basic Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, Nitrox, Divemaster.

Danica believes working with students at the the UO is beyond fun! Everyone has a different reason for wanting to learn to dive. Whether it’s part of their goals when they go to Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, or if they are just curious about diving in general, getting to know each student and see their confidence underwater blossom is always a blast!

As an instructor, Danica’s goal is to guide you through the learning process at the pace that is comfortable for you. When learning a skill like scuba it can be mentally challenging and although attention needs to be paid to the details, it should also be fun.

Danica really enjoys hiking, backpacking, and slacklining in her free time when she’s not diving. Traveling is a huge passion and she has been to 17 countries so far!

Cost of attendance is the estimated cost to attend the UO for the academic year. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides estimates for cost of attendance information that goes beyond tuition and fees, and includes: living expenses (housing and food), books/supplies/equipment, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
