Biography

Myron grew up as an Air Force kid and lived all over the world, but was raised in Eugene. He started boxing in 1969, and boxed for 27 years. His accomplishments include a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics ’75, Oregon Golden Gloves Champion ’76, and he qualified for the Olympic Trials in ’76, ’80, and ’84.  He took over coaching in 1987 and has coached three national teams.

Myron introduced the boxing PE class to UO students in fall 2022 and is loving the experience and new setting. He’s enjoying getting the classes to grow and exposing students to this type of training and the sport of boxing. He encourages students of all levels and abilities to participate, especially students who have never done boxing before. He teaches with a smile, humor, and laughter, while getting everyone to work hard together.

Cost of attendance is the estimated cost to attend the UO for the academic year. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides estimates for cost of attendance information that goes beyond tuition and fees, and includes: living expenses (housing and food), books/supplies/equipment, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
