About Classic Camp

Nestled in the heart of the University of Oregon campus, Duck Trails Classic Camp takes advantage of our university location by providing a full-day variety camp program, including recreational activities in the Student Recreation Center facilities. By blending scheduled programming with free-time play, campers get the opportunity to learn skills, develop new interests, and engage in positive social interactions in a friendly, extended family type environment.

Who can attend?

Open to all children who will be entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall.

When is the camp and how long does it last?

Duck Trails Classic Camps take place during the summer months. Each session lasts five days, unless otherwise specified.*

Drop-off for all campers in all camps will be from 7:45–9:00 a.m.; pick-up will be from 4:00–5:30 p.m.

* In Session 2 there will be no camp on July 4 and 5, in observance of Independence Day.

What activities will take place?

Schedules vary weekly, but activities include:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Rock climbing
  • Swimming
  • Camp games
  • Sports
  • Special events

What if my preferred session is full?

Families can add their campers directly to the waitlists. Please proceed to the online registration link below, log in with your account, and all full sessions will have a "Waitlist" button.

Registration for summer 2024 Classic Camp will open on the following dates:

  • Registration for Puddle Jumpers (Rising Kindergartners) and Firequackers (Rising 1st Graders) opens on Tuesday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m.
  • Registration for Duckateers (Rising 2nd Graders) and Wild Wings (Rising 3rd Graders) opens on Wednesday, March 20, at 1:00 p.m.
  • Registration for Mighty Mallards (Rising 4th and 5th Graders) opens on Thursday, March 21, at 1:00 p.m.

Cost of attendance is the estimated cost to attend the UO for the academic year. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides estimates for cost of attendance information that goes beyond tuition and fees, and includes: living expenses (housing and food), books/supplies/equipment, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
