Updated April 16, 2021:
Duck Trails families,
We are pleased to announce that we are officially back for summer 2021! The camp pages below have been updated with dates and details for this coming summer break and we are thrilled to be able to provide programming for your families again this year.
Due to the necessary compliance with both Oregon Health Authority regulations for day camps and in accordance with federal, state, and local guidance, and university policies specific to COVID-19, we will not offer as many different camp programs this summer. Instead, we narrowed our focus to assist families with elementary-aged campers who do not have the option of staying home unsupervised, while also offering the programs that are most conducive to outdoor activities.
We know that our specialty programs like Cooking Camp, Imagination Factory, Sports Academy, and field trips are offerings your families look forward to as summer approaches, but we wanted to focus our offerings on the camps that would have the greatest impact on our community. In order to help you make an informed decision about registering for camp, please review our 2021 COVID-19 safety protocols before registration opens, to detail the other ways Duck Trails will be altered this summer.
Registration will open on Monday, April 19. We will not be holding an in-person kick-off event at the Student Recreation Center this year to discourage gathering indoors. Online registration is the primary method of signing your camper(s) up for this summer’s options and will be available at 9:00 a.m. on April 19. To register online, families will need to have access to our online registration system. If you requested access in 2019–2020, that account is still valid. If you need access, need to add a family member, or aren't sure if you have an account, contact us via our online form.
We are encouraging those that can avoid campus to please register using the online portal. If registering in person is your only option (ex: UO faculty/staff wanting to pay with payroll deduction), registration will be available at the Student Recreation Center Service Center. Please keep the following in mind before arriving on campus:
- Perform a self-check to ensure you do not have one or more symptoms of COVID-19.
- You can utilize the self-check assessment tool provided by the UO.
- Masks are required at all times at the UO, both outdoors and inside buildings.
- Maintain six feet of distance between you and those from different households.
Thank you for your patience with our planning and approval process. We can't wait to be with you this summer!
Take care and stay safe,
The Duck Trails admin staff
