Medic CPR, AED, and First Aid for Adults Course
The Medic First Aid BasicPlus course helps students to develop the CPR, AED, and first aid skills to respond to an adult in a medical emergency. This blended course includes around 2–3 hours of online videos and questions and a 3–4 hour, in-class practical skills session, led by an authorized instructor. The online component is completed independently at the student's discretion prior to the scheduled practical skill session. After registration, participants will be emailed a link to access the online content, through OTIS. The practical skills session is scheduled in a Student Recreation Center classroom. Certifications are valid for two years. Medic First Aid's resuscitation programs conform to national standards and are based on the same scientific guidelines and treatment recommendations used by the American Heart Association and American Red Cross for course development. Classes are open to UO students, faculty, and staff.
- BasicPlus: $40 per person
- PediatricPlus: $45 per person (includes additional hour of classroom time)

Schedule a Class
In addition to the pre-scheduled classes, we also allow groups or departments to request their own class. We require a minimum of six participants to schedule a class. If you have fewer than 12 students, we may request enrolling in existing scheduled classes as available or we may fill remaining seats with other students waiting for a course. All classes are scheduled at the Rec Center; we do not transport equipment to other sites.
