Bio: Corbin’s passion for students, and their experiences on college campuses began in his youth. With both of his parents working at universities, he was naturally drawn to higher education and providing service to students in pursuit of their passions. His leadership skills developed over time, as he held a variety of positions as a volunteer, student, intern, part-time staff, instructor, and professional staff within the university system.
Prior to joining the Department of Physical Education and Recreation, he served as the assistant manager of both event facilities management and operation and FITWELL units at UCLA. This included overseeing facility operations of the John Wooden Center, Los Angeles Tennis Center, Straus Clubhouse, Recreation Teaching Kitchen, and Pauley Pavilion. Before UCLA, Corbin served as the assistant director for strength and conditioning at the University of Massachusetts, overseeing all strength and conditioning areas, as well as fitness programming for the recreation department.
During his free time, Corbin enjoys reading, listening to music, playing chess, exercising, being outdoors, and exploring new opportunities in which he can learn as well as teach others.
