Bio: Sarah is the assistant director for mind-body and fitness. Prior to joining PE and Rec, she was a senior instructor in the dance department here at the UO. She has an unrelenting passion for movement in all its forms and is grateful for the opportunity to be part of this team of incredibly committed, talented, and sincerely cheerful people! Sarah believes and trusts in the power of community and finds that connecting with others is an important aspect of living an active, balanced life.

Sarah is trained in somatic practices and is certified through the School for Body-Mind Centering as an Embodied Anatomy and Yoga teacher and Somatic Movement Educator. These studies have validated the importance of each individual’s experience and have taught her to slow down, check in with herself and others, and be present for the small instances and big occurrences alike.

She loves music and has a soft spot for ’90s R&B (rhythm and blues). Sarah also loves swimming, reading, and watching shows about transformation (home renovation, food/cooking, and relationships).

Cost of attendance is the estimated cost to attend the UO for the academic year. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides estimates for cost of attendance information that goes beyond tuition and fees, and includes: living expenses (housing and food), books/supplies/equipment, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
