Rock District

The rock wall is 30 feet in height with more than 2,800 square feet of top-rope and lead climbing. With a bouldering wall, events, challenges, and lessons, we offer something for every level of climbing. All participants must pass a basic safety check before climbing.

Youth and Family

Children ages five and up are welcome to climb during our Family Rec hours as long as they're accompanied by an adult who has passed a rock wall safety check. We offer climbing lessons for families and drop-in belay training for parents.

Climbing Lessons

Learn to Climb Learn the skills to pass the basic safety check including equipment use and care, climbing commands, belay skills, and face climbing.

$15 per person

• 1-hour class, by appointment
• Lessons available Monday–Friday, 6:00–7:00 p.m. during academic term
Lead Climbing Learn to safely and efficiently lead climb and belay including lead belaying, lead falling, and climbing techniques.

$30 per person

• 2-hour class, by appointment only
• Lessons are available during open hours Monday–Friday

Register at the Student Recreation Center Service Center, or Welcome Desk located in the main lobby.

Can I participate?
Oregon Adaptive Climbing welcomes you to participate at one of our upcoming events! We welcome participants with all types of physical and cognitive disabilities. We can accommodate those seeking their first rock climbing experience all the way to seasoned pros! No experience is necessary.

Can I volunteer?
Yes! We generally want two volunteers for every participant. All help is appreciated, no level of rock climbing experience or knowledge is required.
